Bridging Language Barriers + Tools of Engagement

Mother Tongues are offering two professional development opportunities for artists and arts managers working in intercultural contexts.

The themes discussed include communication strategies in intercultural contexts, working towards transformational social change by reflecting on identity, difference and conflict.

Mother Tongues is a social enterprise with a mission to create spaces that foster belonging and celebrate linguistic and cultural identities through education and the arts.

Details of the sessions, which are delivered via Zoom, are below:

Bridging Language Barriers and Building Connection

In this interactive online course, participants will learn about linguistically and culturally responsive strategies that will help them to bridge language barriers and build connections in their work with participants, artists and audiences. During the session, participants will get to reflect on their use of language for different purposes and they will draft a language strategy for their organisation. This course is designed for individuals working in organisations that provide Artistic and Cultural experiences to the public. More information and Booking.
