The Arts Council is delighted to partner with a number of institutions providing Initial Teacher Education for primary school teachers in Ireland to support artists-in-residence across various disciplines, beginning in September 2017. Calls for artists will be issued by partner institutions over the coming weeks and will be publicised on www.artsineducation.ie

Bealtaine is Ireland’s national festival which uniquely celebrates the arts and creativity as we age. This summer, the Bealtaine Festival celebrates people power in Ireland’s older generation through performance, proclamations and praise.

The Readers’ Voice, a series of author interviews with Anne Enright, the Laureate of Irish Fiction, taking place across the country, celebrating the reader, local libraries and outstanding Irish writing, comes to a close on 4 May with Molly McCloskey in Cavan.

The Arts Council announces the Engaging with Architecture Scheme 2017, with the purpose of engaging the public with architecture. 

The Touring and Dissemination of Work Scheme is designed to support touring and dissemination of work across a range of art forms and arts practices.

The Arts Council in association with Create will hold two information clinics which will take place in advance of the deadline for the Arts Council Arts Participation Bursary Award, which is on Thursday, 13 July at 5.30pm. 

Arts & Disability Ireland is conducting a large scale survey in collaboration with both disability and arts organisations this April and May. The research aims to understand how people with disabilities engage with arts and culture in Ireland.
