The Arts Council’s next three-year plan under our strategy, Making Great Art Work, commits to continue to support arts organisations to broaden their income base through a continuation of our RAISE programme, and also help to develop a culture for giving to the arts in Ireland. 

The Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Josepha Madigan TD, has announced a new €4.7m capital investment scheme for arts and culture centres.

The Arts Council in partnership with the MA Festive Arts (University of Limerick) presents ‘Change Makers’ conference, a gathering of arts festival stakeholders to map and take stock of festival practice in Ireland.

Applications are welcomed from Irish-language writers of distinction for the abovementioned role, jointly funded by The Arts Council and Dublin City University.

The deadline for the next round of the Arts Council's Bursary Awards is Thursday, 30 January 2020 at 5.30pm. The window for making an application opens on Tuesday, 17 December 2019.

The Arts Council provides Bursary Awards in order to assist individual artists in the development of their art practice. The award emphasises the value and benefit to an artist’s development that is derived from a focused period of engagement with their practice.

The application window for the Countess Constance de Markievicz Award will open on 7 January 2020.

The window for 2020 Travel and Training Award applications will open on Friday 29^th November 2019.

The Artist in the Community Scheme Bursary Award 2019: Collaborative Arts and Theatre aims to support individual professional artists working in collaborative socially engaged forms of theatre practice.

The Arts Council announces the second of two rounds of the Festivals Investment Scheme (FIS) for festivals taking place between July and December 2020.

The Arts Council’s role is to advocate for a diverse and varied arts festival ecology and to provide a chain of funding supports that encourage: models of national and international significance and best practice, models that increase opportunities for public engagement or develop the work of an artist/artform, festival programmes engaged with, and relevant to the local community.

The closing date for tours starting from July to December 2020 and for Advance Planning 2021 will be January 9th, 2020.

Arts & Disability Ireland are calling for proposals for a unique European Summit titled From Access to Inclusion 2020 taking place from 11^th - 14^th May in Dublin, Ireland. The deadline for abstracts is midnight GMT/UTC, Tuesday 12^thNovember 2019.
