Creative Schools National Celebration Events

A national celebration of the arts and creativity in schools will take place in November 2019 at schools and venues across the country. Children and young people will have the opportunity to showcase their experiences of the arts and creative learning through their involvement in the Creative Schools initiative.

Date: 4th to 8th November 2019

The events will take place in different ways across the week with a programme of events to  take place in regional arts venues: Donegal - Balor Arts Centre, Cork - Triskel Arts Centre, Galway - Nun's Island Theatre, Westmeath - Mullingar Arts Centre and Dublin – the National Gallery of Ireland.

Schools can choose to celebrate their work and creativity as part of the Creative Schools programme in these arts spaces or in their own schools. All schools are invited to celebrate the creativity that is happening in their own schools whether they are part of the Creative Schools initiative or not.  As part of the week of celebration resources will be available directly to the schools to help them to run these days. Schools are also invited to join the celebrations online by sharing their photos and videos under the hashtag: #OurCreativeSchool

To coincide with this week of celebration of the arts and creativity in schools, the Arts in Education National Portal Day will take place on Saturday 9th November.
