RAISE Phase 4: A message from Martin O’Sullivan, Deputy Director of the Arts Council

As the development agency for the arts in Ireland, the Arts Council is committed to securing additional public investment in the arts. The Arts Council also believes that philanthropy and private investment, in tandem with government support, has a key role to play in promoting Ireland’s vibrant arts and cultural sector. It is this amalgam of public, private and corporate investment that is needed to ensure the sustainability, growth and impact of the arts sector into the future.

The Arts Council will be holding an open online Funding Information Clinic to provide an overview of the upcoming Circus, Street Art and Spectacle Project Award, Round 1, 2023.  The clinic will be led by Circus, Street Arts & Spectacle Support Manager, Laura Ivers and Adviser Adam O’Keeffe.

Arts Council announces details and deadline of 2023 Visual Arts Workspace Scheme

The application window for the 2023 Visual Arts Workspace Scheme will open on 16 August 2022. The deadline for the scheme is 5.30pm on Thursday, 16 September, 2023.

The Heaney-Miłosz Residency – Call for Applications

The Estate of Seamus Heaney, together with Krakow Festival Office and the Embassy of Ireland in Poland, have launched a new Literary Residency at the apartment of the late Nobel laureate Czesław Miłosz in Krakow, Poland.  Heaney visited Krakow many times, including visits to Miłosz at his apartment. To celebrate the connections between the two Nobel Laureates, the new Residency programme will provide a basis for deepening the many existing literary links between Ireland and Poland.
